I still have no idea why I was married for 14 years. Part of me thought marriage would change me, or that it would eliminate temptation. But self-suppression bleeds into every corner of your life. It would have been worse if you’d stayed hidden. You did the right thing, hands down, but I’m truly sorry for your losses.
